The Wingate Word
November 2024
With final exams fast approaching, the Wingate Triangle staff set out on Nov. 25 to find out what tests students are dreading the most. Hence, the question for this week…
What will be your toughest final exam and why?
MICHAEL HARRIS
Senior Management major
Waldorf, Md.
“For me, the (Business 497) exit exam will be the toughest exam because it’s a combination of everything I’ve learned from freshman year to now and it’s mandatory to graduate and if I don’t pass it I’m cooked.”
NICO ECKERT
Freshman Finance major
Frankfurt, Germany
“The toughest exam for me would be History 131 because it’s the most demanding class. I feel confident with my other courses because those are things that I did during high school in Germany.”
CATHERINE LUZZI
Senior Biology major
King, N.C.
“Definitely Bio 311: Anatomy and Physiology, 100 percent. I took it last year, and it was the hardest exam, so it is definitely going to be the hardest this semester. It is a lot to remember, but it is not just necessarily things that you can remember. It’s a lot of application.
KYLE SPENCE
Junior Finance major
Stafford, England
“I would say that my hardest final would probably be between marketing (MARK 301) and finance (FINA 414). Marketing will be hard because the study guide that we get for the tests doesn’t prepare me for my exam, especially with all the terms I have to know. So basically, I go in blindly with only some knowledge. Finance will be hard because I will have to know every formula to every cell for all the cash flows, income statements and stock prices from every unit this semester.”
ERIANA TUCKER
Junior Criminal Justice major
Hiram, Ga.
“Criminal law, because it’s all just memorizing facts and the professor is really old-fashioned, so it’s like all tests, no other assignments and all he does is lecture. Overall, I would say they’re manageable, but for me it’s definitely the hardest. Lots of facts, lots of memorizing—and that’s it.”
DANIELLE GRIGG
Sophomore Biology major
Waxhaw, N.C.
“Philosophy because it is so subjective and hard to know definitively what to say.”
